Brows After Chemotherapy or Illness

Hey there, beautiful souls!

First off, I want to send a virtual hug to anyone who's recently journeyed through chemotherapy or any other illness or medical procedure that has resulted in hair loss. My Mom and godmother both went through it and I've witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience it takes. And while of course health is paramount, I've seen how the little shifts in our appearance, like eyebrow hair loss, can take a toll. 🌼

Look. I'm the first person to say that in the grand scheme of things, eyebrows don't matter... but I also know that sometimes the little things are the big things.

While I always support and encourage all women to embrace themselves just as they are, I appreciate how deeply many people just want to look "like their old selves", whatever the reason.

Many of my clients have reached out to me during their journeys with questions about microblading and how it may benefit their unique situation. So, without further ado...

Why Microblading?

  1. Natural-Looking Results: With microblading, each hair stroke is meticulously crafted to mimic real eyebrow hair, giving you a natural and realistic look. You don't have to worry about your brows looking drawn on or tattooed.

  2. Semi-Permanent: This means you get beautiful brows that last but without the lifelong commitment. Over time, the pigments will fade, giving you the freedom to adapt and change as you see fit. Microblading generally lasts 12-18 months and requires an annual session for maintenance.

  3. Customizable: Shape, size, colour. You're in the driver's seat. And - here's something super cool - if you're rocking a wig, we can even match the microblading pigment to its colour.

I want all of my clients to feel prepared, empowered, and confident in the process. I listen to their ideas, pre draw the shape, and show them exactly what it will look like on their face and we tweak the small details before blading begins. The colour is chosen together. My clients really are in charge! :) I provide an aftercare bag and detailed customized instructions for the healing process.

A microblading appointment always includes a touch-up session, but I also offer a complimentary additional touch-up session if needed for any health warrior clients.

Aside from chemo, there are several medical reasons that folks may experience hair loss such as alopecia, diabetes, lupus, thyroid conditions, syphilis, polycistic ovarian syndrome, heavy metal poisoning, and side effects from various medications.

Fine print: there are certain circumstances where microblading isn’t safe or ideal. And in those cases, I’m happy to give you other suggestions!

Whatever your reason for stepping in to the studio, we're here to help you feel a little more 'you' – one brow stroke at a time. Every face tells a story, and we're honoured to be a tiny, beautiful part of yours.
