How Do I Measure My Brows?

Hey there! Not ready for microblading but want killer brows that you can easily DIY at home? Are you wondering how to measure your eyebrows to get the perfect shape and symmetry? We've got you covered! Measuring your eyebrows can be a simple and effective way to achieve your desired brow look. In this post, I'll walk you through a step-by-step guide on how to measure your eyebrows.

Step 1: Clean and prep your eyebrows Start by ensuring that your eyebrows are clean and dry. Remove any makeup or product from your eyebrows using your favourite cleanser or makeup remover. This will help you get a clear view of your natural brow shape.

Step 2: Find the starting point of your eyebrow

Take a straight object, such as a ruler, pencil, or makeup brush, and place it vertically against the side of your nose. Where the object meets your eyebrow is a rough guide for the starting point of your brow. (That said, those with wider or narrower noses may want to adjust according to personal preference.) Use an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner to mark this point on both eyebrows.

Step 3: Find the arch of your eyebrow

To determine the highest point of your eyebrow arch, place the straight object at an angle from the outer corner of your nose to the center of your iris. The highest point of your arch should be where the object meets your eyebrow. Mark this point on both eyebrows.

Step 4: Find the end of your eyebrow

Place the straight object at an angle from the outer corner of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. The end of your eyebrow should be where the object meets your eyebrow. Mark this point on both eyebrows.

Step 5: Measure the distance between each point

Using a ruler or measuring tape, measure the distance between the starting point and the arch, the arch and the end, and the starting point and the end of each eyebrow. This will help you determine if your eyebrows are symmetrical and if any adjustments need to be made.

Step 6: Make any necessary adjustments

If you find that your eyebrows are not symmetrical, you can make adjustments by plucking or filling in your eyebrows more. Use your measurements as a guide to ensure that you are making changes to both eyebrows equally.

And there you have it! With these simple steps, you can measure your eyebrows like a pro and achieve a great shape and decent symmetry. Remember, practice makes perfect, so don't be afraid to experiment with different brow shapes until you find the one that works best for you. Also remember - at the end of the day, they're just eyebrows :)
